FUHSO Announces Remedial Science Programme for 2026/2027
Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) has opened admission into its Remedial Science Programme for 2026/2027, offering automatic placement into 15 degree programmes.
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) invites suitably qualified applicants for admission into the Remedial Science Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must possess at least a minimum of 3 O'Level credits in WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE results, or its equivalent, in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and either Biology, Agricultural Science, or Geography.
The Remedial Programme is strictly for science students who wish to study any of the following programmes:
- MBBS — Medicine and Surgery
- Pharm.D. — Doctor of Pharmacy
- B.NSc. — Nursing Science
- B.MLS. — Medical Laboratory Science
- B.Sc. — Public Health & Epidemiology
- B.Sc. — Biochemistry
- B.Sc. — Human Anatomy
- B.Sc. — Human Physiology
- B.Sc. — Microbiology
- B.Sc. — Computer Science
- B.Sc. — Chemistry
- B.Sc. — Biological Science
- B.Sc. — Medical Physics
- B.Sc. — Biostatistics
- B.Sc. — Mathematics
Programme Structure
In addition to remedying deficiencies, the FUHSO Remedial Sciences programme will:
- Conduct a JAMB/UTME clinic to enable candidates to be well prepared through intensive teaching/coaching for the 2026/2027 JAMB/UTME examination.
- Prepare candidates through a nine (9)-month intensive programme of teaching and laboratory exercise in the subjects, to be better fit for the relevant 100 Level degree programme at FUHSO.
Automatic Placement
Placement into a FUHSO degree programme will be automatic for candidates who participate in the FUHSO Remedial Sciences programme, provided the candidate successfully completes the programme and:
a. Obtains a minimum of 50% in each subject taken, with proven 75% attendance during teaching and laboratory periods b. Chooses the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo as first choice in JAMB/UTME c. Obtains the University's cut-off mark for the course of choice (which may be reviewed every academic year)
Method of Application
Interested applicants are requested to visit the University website at fuhso.edu.ng and click on "Remedial Portal" to create an account for online application. Applicants are to fill in their relevant information online and pay a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000 through the same portal.
Duration of Sale of Form
The sale of application forms will commence from Friday, August 7, 2026 and close on Sunday, October 31, 2026.
