Privacy policy

Nothing, if you only read. Browsing news, cut-offs, fees, scholarships or the tools requires no account and no personal details.

If you pay to unlock a calculator: your name, email address, phone number, the institution you chose and the payment reference. This is what lets us confirm your payment and restore your access if you lose it.

If you create an account: your name, email address and a password we store only as a salted hash — we never hold the password itself. Alongside it we keep what you save (schools, scholarships, updates, results) and your CBT practice history.

If you turn on alerts: your email address, or a browser push subscription, together with the topics you picked.

Anonymous usage counts: which pages are viewed and the referring site, so we know what to publish next. These records carry no name, account or IP address.

Card and bank details are handled entirely by Paystack, our payment processor. They never pass through this site and we never see or store them. We keep only the reference, amount, status and the contact details you entered at checkout, so that a payment can be verified and access restored.

We do not use tracking cookies. Your calculator unlock and your account session are random tokens kept in your own browser's local storage and checked against our database each time they are used. Clearing your browser storage signs you out; on a shared device, that is the safest thing to do when you finish.

When you ask the assistant a question, the question and the portal content relevant to it are sent to our AI provider to generate the answer. Do not include personal details you would not want processed — a score, subject list and course name are all it needs. Conversations are not attached to your account, and the thread lives only in the page you are looking at.

We do not sell your data, rent your email address, or hand your details to agents, “consultants” or anyone claiming to arrange admission. We share information only with the services that make the site work — our payment processor, our email and hosting providers, and our AI provider — and only as much as each needs.

Some pages carry adverts, including Google AdSense. Ad networks may set their own cookies or identifiers to choose what to show you. You can opt out of personalised Google adverts in your Google Ad Settings.

Payment records are kept as long as our accounting obligations require. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe — every email carries a link. Anonymous page counts are aggregated and kept indefinitely.

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its saved items. Email us and we will act on it. Unsubscribing from alerts takes one click and does not affect your account.

The portal is intended for candidates preparing for tertiary admission and the adults supporting them. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
