University of Abuja Opens 2026/2027 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Screening Registration

The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has announced the commencement of online registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise for both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates.

According to the notice issued by the Office of the Registrar, the online screening registration portal will be open from Wednesday, August 12, 2026, to Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

All eligible candidates who selected the University of Abuja as their First Choice Institution are advised to complete their screening registration within the stated period.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 JAMB UTME.
  • Candidates must have at least five (5) O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates must upload their O'Level results to the JAMB Portal.
  • Direct Entry candidates must possess a recognised NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree or HND qualification.
  • Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB A'Level qualifications are not eligible to apply through Direct Entry for this screening exercise.
  • All Direct Entry candidates must upload their A'Level results to the JAMB Portal and have them verified by their former institutions.
  • All applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.
  • Candidates must ensure that their UTME subject combinations correspond with the subject requirements for their chosen course.

Only candidates who meet the stated eligibility requirements will be considered for the screening exercise.

Registration Procedure

Eligible candidates can complete their screening registration by following these steps:

  1. Visit the University of Abuja admission portal and click on "Here to Apply."
  2. Click "Undergraduate" on the left panel.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click "Get Details."
  4. Complete the basic information page using a valid phone number and email address, then click "Next."
  5. Pay the required screening fee of ₦2,000 through Remita.
  6. On the payment review page, click "Generate RRR" to proceed to the payment page.
  7. Click "Submit" to be redirected to the Remita payment platform.
  8. Enter the OTP code sent to your phone and click "Continue" to complete the payment.
  9. After successful payment, return to the portal and click "Main Log In."
  10. Enter your JAMB Registration Number as your username and your surname as the password.
  11. Log in to the dashboard and complete your registration.
  12. Ensure that you print your completed registration form and payment receipt for future reference.

Important Notice on Change of Course

Candidates who wish to change from one course to another are advised to complete the change of course on the JAMB Portal before registering for the UniAbuja Post-UTME screening exercise.

Applicants should ensure that their chosen course, UTME subject combination, and O'Level requirements are properly aligned before completing their screening registration.
